I was walking home at dusk

I was walking home at dusk when a man rode up beside me on a bicycle. We were rather close. He looked me straight in the eye and cheerfully greeted me, "Hello, Richard." And it was then that I first suspected that I wasn't as attractive a woman as I initially thought.

Wear pants I sent the child upstairs this morning to get dressed, with the instruction "Wear pants. You're going on a field trip." She came back down in a skirt with tights (and an undershirt OVER a long-sleeved shirt, but that's another tale). I said "I told you to wear pants." "But" said she, "tights are like pants with socks attached." Inarguable. ~Magpie Musing

Crap Yesterday as I walked through the ER waiting room I stopped in my tracks at the magazine rack - sitting there prominently among the donated periodicals was a magazine called "CRAP". Well, I THOUGHT it said "Crap". Obviously my dyslexic brain was at it again. In fact, the magazine was titled "CARP". Carp. "The magazine for Canada's Association for the 50 Plus." Um, someone needs to inform them that DOESN'T spell CARP. I think it should be CRAP. As in "Holy, crap! I'm 50!!" ~I'd Rather Be Blogging

I chalk just about every physical symptom up to anxiety. I'm thinking my gravestone will read: "She thought it was a panic attack."
